Snails are adorable; they carry the beautiful homes on their backs all the time. But being cute animals, snails are fragile when living among humans. This inspired some people to paint snails’ shells to make them much more noticeable and protect them from trampling. Artist Stefan Siverud just does the same project “Snailpimp”. He paints living snails with the most varied designs, achieved with non-toxic paints.

But after all, snails live in the nature; most animals may try to avoid bright colors that signal danger and mean that the animal may be poisonous, this may protect them from other creatures, but it is not natural colors after all, they are more easily spotted by predators.
