Take A Look At The Cars and Planes Donald Trump Owns

Business Insider

The uber-controversial Donald J. Trump was recently elected as the 45th President of the United States. During the lengthy and gruelling presidential campaign, many (including his opponent Hillary Clinton) have questioned his wealth and whether or not he is paying his dues to the taxman. Anyone keeping up with the election remembers that Trump was adamant about not disclosing his tax information – something that no other presidential candidate has done before him.

Despite the controversy surrounding his financial situation and several active audits, Trump managed to secure the presidency without actually disclosing his true net worth. While there are numerous websites including Forbes, Investopedia, and countless others, that claim to have calculated his net worth, it’s likely that only Trump himself knows just how much money he has.

We, however, are left speculating about his tremendous wealth, but judging by the widely varying estimates that are out there, it’s probably safe to say that his net worth is somewhere between $4-8 billion. Interestingly enough, Donald himself boasted about having more than $10 billion to his name, but that figure seems quite unlikely.

Regardless of what the actual number may be, Mr. Trump is on track to becoming the wealthiest president that the United States has ever had. That being said, it’s not really fair to compare a real estate mogul with rich family ties to an average politician that (at best) is making $100,000 per year.

Trump’s earnings are in a different echelon entirely, and his lifestyle is a great reflection of that. Aside from countless real estate properties all over the United States – including his massive, three-story penthouse at the Trump Tower in Manhattan – Donald Trump spends a significant amount of coin on transportation.

Obviously we’re not talking about bus passes or metro cards, but rather his very impressive collection of cars, airplanes, and more. If you’re interested in seeing what a billionaire real-estate-mogul-gone-politician has in his garage (or garages, really), hit next and let’s get the party started.

20. Trump Jet

The New York Times

One of Donald Trump’s most expensive possessions is his 100 million dollar Boeing 757.  Trump purchased the airplane from Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, and has since given it a make over. Aside from gold-plating everything, the business-tycoon-turned-politician stamped the 757 with his family logo. The jet is so massive and spectacular, that we’re going to dedicate a couple of slides to its impressive interior.

19. The interior

There is a lot to be said about the interior, and although some may disagree with Trump’s politics, it’s hard to argue against the impeccable design of his jet. From gold plated seatbelt buckles, to large bedrooms, gold plated bathtub and sink, and everything in between – the entire airplane just reeks of luxury.

18. The bedroom

Business Insider

Keep in mind, a single hour of air time will run Trump more than $10,000. Most people would probably opt to cherish every minute of the uber expensive trip, but Trump is a fan of catching up on some sleep instead. Luckily, There are a couple of on-board bedrooms, featuring a private television and a king size bed.

Most people might not know this, but at one point, Donald Trump was very close to driving the Indy 500 pace car. He was selected as the official driver for the 100th anniversary of the Indianapolis 500, which (to no surprise) led to public outcry. The scandal went on for a couple of weeks, and Trump was ultimately replaced by A.J. Foyt – a four-time Indy 500 winner.

16. Cessna Citation X

While this Cessna is a tad less impressive than Trump’s 757, it certainly deserves a spot on this list. This “little” thing is more about utility than luxury, and the interior definitely reflects that. Although you won’t find a king size bed on board of this rocket, there’s still plenty of room to catch some shuteye. The Cessna can comfortably sit up to 12 passengers, and slingshot them across the sky at a whopping 980kmh. If you’re thinking about picking one up for yourself, it’ll run you about $20 million.

If you couldn’t yet tell, Trump doesn’t just have a couple of jets – he has an entire air fleet. In his arsenal of private planes and choppers, is this little beauty. The heli (worth upwards of $10 million) is the epitome of luxury. Similar to his 757, the interior is covered with premium leather – complete with 18 karat gold-plated seat-belt buckles.

As far as Acura’s go, 1991 was a pretty good year. At the time, the NSX was considered a beast, and a popular choice for those with a “need for speed.” While Trump himself doesn’t fit into that category, his girlfriend at the time – the famous Marla Maples – does. The Donald gifted the 5-speed manual to Maples in 1992, but she has since sold it. In fact, the NSX recently resurfaced on eBay.

13. Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren

The SLR McLaren was released in 2003, in very limited numbers. Only a rare few could pick up the supercar shortly after it hit the market, assuming that they could afford it. Needless to say, someone with Trump’s net worth would have no problem arranging the $450,000 purchase – and that’s exactly what happened in 2005. The Donald had a silver SLR delivered to the front of the Trump Tower without so much as a second look at the price tag.

12. 1997 Lamborghini Diablo VT

Though Trump no longer owns this almost-comical Lamborghini Diablo VT, records show that he picked one up in 1996. Through some further digging, we found that Trump sold the car just a few years later, and someone has been sitting on it since. The gem was recently listed on eBay for an undisclosed reserve price of at least $460,000. Despite being 20 years old, it has just over 15,000 miles on it, and if you’re a Trump memorabilia collector then this auction is a steal.

11. Cadillac Escalade

Though most presidents haven’t had the privilege of being chauffeured around in a Cadillac prior to taking office, that couldn’t be further from the truth for President-Elect Donald J. Trump. Business magnate first and politician second, Trump is no stranger to cruising around Manhattan in fancy cars. Much like everything else that Trump owns, the Cadillac just reeks of luxury – and for $180,000, it better.

10. Rolls-Royce Phantom

The Rolls Royce Phantom is notorious for its massive footprint and an equally enormous price tag. The Phantom starts at $500,000, but knowing Trump you shouldn’t be surprised that the president-elect didn’t settle for the base model. Needless to say, the interior is completely strapped with leather, and sprinkled with a few gold plated elements – just in case you weren’t sure just how rich Trump is.

9. Sikorsky S-76 Helicopter

Taking a brief break from his many “whips,” let’s take a quick look at Trump’s second chopper. Though the Sikorsky S-76 helicopter comes with a hefty price tag of $7 million, the luxury of soaring 5,000 feet above everyone else makes it more than worth it. Despite the relatively high operational cost, Trump is quite generous with the air time. He, on numerous occasions, offered free helicopter rides to kids at state fairs during his campaign.

8. 1956 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud

The stunning 1956 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud is the definition of classy. At the time of its release, the Silver Cloud redefined luxury automobiles. A little more than 2,000 were made, and the hefty price tag reflects that. While the Cloud was far out of reach for the vast majority of collectors, Trump didn’t have to think twice about picking one up for himself.

7.  Tesla

Much like the Silver Cloud, Tesla redefined the automobile industry. First of its class, Tesla is an all-electric driver that powers itself via lithium-ion batteries. There isn’t much that can be said about the Tesla that most people don’t already. Semi-autonomous navigation, complex self parking systems, and incredible efficiency are just a couple of the many features under its hood. Trump is a huge fan of new and shiny tech, so it’s not that surprising that he has his eyes set on the upcoming model.

6. Mercedes-Benz S600

The Mercedes-Benz S600 is the most recent addition to Trump’s ever growing fleet of jets and cars. The stunning S600 packs in a ton of luxury features – from the ability to change the ambience of the cabin to fine tuning the suspension with a tap of a button, this Benz is any car enthusiasts dream. If you’re thinking about picking one up, be warned – it could run you more than $500,000.

5. Ferrari

The classic red Ferrari is every little boy’s dream. Unfortunately, the hefty price tag associated with this babe-magnet puts the popular race car out of reach for most enthusiasts. For Trump, however, couple hundred thousand is pocket change, and paired with his love of fancy cars – the decision to buy one was very easy.

4. Maybach

Washington Post
Washington Post

Donad Trump has close to a dozen German carriages, and this massive Maybach is the latest addition to that portion of his garage. The Maybach is very similar to the S600 mentioned earlier, but with one key difference – its size. Everything inside this metal beast is super-sized.  From huge reclining massage seats, the 24 speaker sound system, and the 605 horse power engine, the Maybach is truly massive.

3. Trump Chopper

No, your eyes aren’t betraying you, that IS a 24-karat gold Orange Country Chopper. Trump paid good money to have this one of a kind motorcycle come to life. The only question is why? It’s very hard to image Trump cruising around on such an extravagant bike, but much like his wine cabinet – it’s more of a showpiece.

2. Air Force One

Now that Trump has officially won the election, he will (temporarily) be adding the Air Force One to his fleet of aircraft and automobiles. Every president must travel via the armoured Air Force One, while accompanied by the secret service. That said, Trump recently tweeted that he would prefer to use his own 757 to pursue his presidential agenda.

1. Presidential Cadillac

NBC News

Aside from the Air Force One, each active president must also travel in an armoured Cadillac. The heavy duty limo is unofficially called “The Beast,” and rightfully so. Everything from the fuel tank to the windows is armour plated, making it virtually impossible to compromise. The tank comes equipped with an oxygen tank, emergency medical equipment, weapons, and several bottles of the president’s blood type in case something should go awry.
