Inspired by both the notions of sea and water, Santa Cruz, California based glass artists Marsha Blaker and Paul DeSomma work both collaboratively and independently on a variety of glass projects and series.
Marsha’s detail oriented work is influenced by the intricacies of the marine environment, with emphasis on the myriad textures and colors. Paul, a minimalist at heart, is most interested in freehand solid glass sculpting, emphasizing the clarity, form and optical nature of colorless and transparently colored glass. And they have successfully created this stunning range of glass vases and sculptures that perfectly depict the ocean.
