Instead of using pencils to create art, Bosnian artist Jasenko Dordeciv turns the pencil into the artwork itself. Using just a small knife and chisel, Dordevic transforms the tips of pencils into small works of art, depicting subjects like flowers, animals, and portraits, all of which have to be magnified to fully appreciate the minute details.

In 2010, when Dordevic was showed the work of Dalton Ghetti, he was inspired to teach himself how to create the intricate sculptures. Places, pop culture icons and interpretations of famous works of art are all beautifully carved on to pencil tips. At the end of year 2013, he won two awards at the international miniature exhibition and his work can also be seen in Cumberland pencil museum (UK) where it is a permanent exhibition.
