German artist Wolfgang Stiller has created a collection of sculptures named the “Matchstickmen”. The “Matchstickmen” is the result of the artist combining leftover moulds from a film production, with leftover wood that he had in his studio, which were then charred to appear as a burnt matchstick with a haunting head.

The series is a depiction of people that are literally burnt out. The talented artist works is interested in in-situ (specific site) installations. That is why, the need to build matchboxes and different heights of “Matchstick Men” became obvious.
