Cheeming Boey is a malaysian animator / artist / author best known for his art on foam cups. Originally, he thought of a poem known as “Quatrain of Seven Steps” (七æ¥è¯—) that he had to recite back when he was a student in singapore. 本(bÄ›n)是(shì)åŒ(tóng)æ ¹(gÄ“n)生(shÄ“ng), was a line in that poem, and it means “originating from the same root”. He thought it would be awesome to depict brothers who chose different paths in life, the righteous versus the corrupt, and their bloody battle in the end.
