Every now and then you see interesting cars completely designed & built by car enthusiasts. But this wooden Volkswagen Beetle is something you do not see every day. What may, at first glance seem as a replica of a standard Volkswagen Beetle is in reality a real drivable vehicle.
Seventy-one-year-old Bosnian retiree and mechanic enthusiast Momir Bojic created a wooden Volkswagen Beetle. He covered the bodywork of a regular Beetle in thousands of oak tiles, each one of which required no fewer than 23 separate procedures. Mr Bojic made all of the wooden fittings – steering wheel, gearstick, hubcaps, radio – in his garden workshop.
