The annual Sapporo Snow Festival was held annually in Sapporo, Japan. This year, the most impressive snow sculpture features Darth Vader, his three stormtroopers and TIE fighters made by Japanese army troops following the festival’s tradition.
For almost a month, more than 200 snow and ice sculptures, 23 meters wide, 15 meters tall, were erected for the Festival. The design, approved by Lucasfilms, features the villainous Darth Vader in the classic sci-fi movie Star Wars.
Darth Vader is one of the coldest villains in movie screens. Now we have his visual proof, which is in snow white, wielding an icy lightsaber, flanked by a posse of three Stormtroopers.
