Artist Michael Beitz creates unusual & functional tables. He impressively combines furniture design and craftsmanship to create looping table sculptures.
Sometimes, artist’s works are too obscure to discern their meaning. Michael Beitz says his current work is concerned with human emotional states and the mass-produced design objects we live with and within. He adds that he explores ideas through drawing, printmaking, and sculpture. His experience as a furniture maker working in various shops for the past ten years has started to influence his present work. Now, he has started to use furniture design itself to discuss and interpret his own interpersonal relationships.
