Devin Mitchell has launched a photo series titled The Faces of the Wild – a collection of 100 photos that features a human face made up to look like a different wild animal. This project is about the silence of caged animals, aiming at exploring and communicating their silent sufferings.
The artist was inspired to take action after witnessing the unnatural behavior exhibited by caged animals. Devin Mitchell says movement through the power of art is the mission, to inspire discussion and empower creativity and he hopes to open up a conversation about the mental anguish that is inflicted upon these majestic wide animals and help change their conditions for the better.
