Prerequisites

In theory, the course for Leading SAFe® Certification requires no prerequisites, but it is recommended to have at the very least 5 years of experience in project management, business analysis, testing, or software development, as well as rudimentary knowledge of Agile Scrum. This is not mandatory, though, and all are welcome to attend the course.

 

About the Course

Leading SAFe® Certification course is a foundation-level course. It is a two-day course and in these two days,

∙ The significance of business agility for thriving in the age of digital influence and all that is necessary to become the leader of a Lean-agile enterprise will be highlighted.

∙ SAFe principles that are stemmed from Agile development, systems thinking and DevOps will be explored.

∙ The establishment of Team and Technical Agility will be discussed.

∙ Focus is shifted to the necessity of the embracement of a customer-centric mindset.

∙ Application of Design Thinking as a part of the Agile Product Delivery core competency is taught.

∙ An opportunity to experience a Program Increment (PI) Planning event is provided.

∙ Attendees acquire acumens and counsels for creating a Continuous Delivery Pipeline

∙ Attendees will be able to implant a DevOps culture.

∙ A comprehension of Lean Portfolio Management will be secured.

∙ Steps needed for executing Lean Portfolio Management will be obtained, hence easing its implementation.

When undertaking this course, the attendees will receive the following:

  • Attendee workbook.
  • Preparation and admissibility to take the SAFe 5 Agilist (SA) examination.
  • One year membership to the SAFe Community Platform.
  • Certificate of course completion.

About the Examination

When the course is completed, you gain access to the examination. All study material is received from the Learning Plan in the SAFe Community Platform.

Exam requirements: It is mandatory to attend the two-day Leading SAFe® Certification course (note that attendance does not promise clearance of the exam).

Exam details:

Name: SAFe 5 Agilist

Format: Multiple-choice questions

Delivery: Web-based, closed book, no outside assistance, time limit.

Access: Within Community Platform.

Duration: 90 minutes.

Number of questions: 45

Passing score: 35 out of 45 (77%)

Language: English.

Cost: The first attempt, if made within 30 days of completing the course, is included in the registration fee. Retake attempts cost $50 each.

Retake policy: The second attempt can be made right after the first. The third requires a 10-day wait, and the fourth, a 30-day wait.
