Hannah Montana with a Tiny Head
The cake itself is not bad at all. In fact, this is one of the better cakes on this list. However, Hannah Montana’s head is a tad bit small. This cake is just lacking proper proportions. Regardless, this cake is for a nine-year-old. So, we are positive that Laura loved it. All that really matters to a kid that young, is that the cake is delicious.
We are Positive that a Trekkie did not Make This Cake
This is the Starship Enterprise from the TV show Trak Stores…wait a minute… If this cake designer actually watched Star Trek, then they should have paid attention to the writing design on the cake. They did a great job on the actual design of the ship.. However, they misspelled the name of the ship. It’s actually called the Starship Enterprise NCC-1701.
Even Toys Have to go Potty..
Like the saying goes, “when you gotta go, you gotta go.” The person that made this cake obviously didn’t pay close attention to the design. The person who designed this cake took a beloved movie character and destroyed his image. This is a hard image to erase from your brain. Hopefully, no one had to actually eat this cake!
Minnie Mouse? Is That You?
Minnie and Mickey Mouse have been around for a long time. Obviously Minnie’s age is starting to show. The person who made this cake meant well, and they were moving in the right direction with their design- but this cake is obviously a fail. We don’t really understand why Minnie has swirly ears. Also, we question why her eyelashes on her left side are detached from her eye. We wonder if they actually served this cake, or if they threw it away.
Broken Down Car
Cars can easily get bent out of shape, especially race cars. This Disney-inspired cake is the perfect example of a race car that looked like it was in an accident. Lightning McQueen has seen better days. We do have to admit that this non-professional cake designer actually did a pretty good job on this cake. This would be a hard cake to make, and they did a great job given what they were working with.
Mutant Porcupine?
From first glance, this cake looks like a mutant porcupine. We are positive that this cake was not made professionally. At least they tried their best?.. They threw some pretzel rods in, a strange icing color, and some oddly large teeth and they made a horrifying cake. To be honest, we wouldn’t want to eat this cake.
Thomas the Angry Train
Thomas the Train looks like he is going to kill everyone. Thomas looks extremely angry, for some reason. At least this cake is for a three-year-old, so hopefully they don’t see anything wrong with it. Perhaps, Thomas is angry because everyone is going to eat him, or he’s horrified over the lack of funding railroads are receiving. Regardless, all that matters is that the cake tasted good.
They Didn’t Proofread
Obviously, this cake was not proofread. It’s also a complete disaster. Words spelled wrong include: Happy, Birthday, Please, Proofread, and Cake. They also included the instructions on what was supposed to be on the cake. At least the princess and the frog turned out cute. Maybe they can scrape off the words and redo the writing?
This Was Actually Supposed to be a Planet
This was supposed to be a planet, believe it or not. It kind of looks like they smeared the icing on and hoped for the best. This cake is the perfect example, that not everyone is an artist. Some cakes should be left to the professionals. Even though the design is off, one can hope that it at least tasted good?
Bad Monkey
The design of this cake is actually really nice. The monkey has a sweet friendly face, and the writing on the cake’s platform was done well. However, the monkey is holding the banana in a strange spot. At least this mistake can be easily fixed. They can just remove the banana from the monkey’s hand.
Bob the Builder Needs Rescued
Bob the Builder needs help! Someone needs to rescue him! Bob may have a smile on his face, but he is covered in a big pile of collapsed bricks. It almost looks like the “brick pile” is made of ground beef. This person just kind of threw the crumbled cake together. Regardless, it doesn’t look appetizing.
Spider-Man… What are you Doing?!
Spider-Man is in a very strange position. We don’t understand why he looks like he is either emerging from the womb or being shoved into a black trash bag. Regardless, this cake is odd. The only reason we can think of as to why Spider-Man is in this position is because in the comics and movies he squats on buildings. Maybe the person who made this cake was going for that pose, but it didn’t turn out that way… At all..
Ariel is that you?
Ariel from The Little Mermaid is one of the most well-known Disney princesses in the world. We aren’t sure why someone who has no cake decorating training would try to copy the cake on the left. But they tried, and they failed. You can’t even recognize poor Ariel on the right. In this case, maybe it’s best to leave creating Ariel cakes to the professionals.
A Purple Year?
The person who ordered this cake was definitely in for a surprise, or rather a huge disappointment. The person who ordered the cake listed clear directions, but apparently the cake decorator took the instructions a little too literal. The person who ordered the cake actually wanted, “Thanks For A Great Year,” written in purple icing. Maybe they can scrape off the word “purple”.
Freudian Slip?
This cake was almost perfect… Almost.. It’s unclear if the person who made the cake misheard what the customer said, or if the customer misspoke. Hopefully they didn’t serve the cake. Since it says “Happy Bathday” it implies that the person needs a bath. That’s pretty harsh!
Repetition
The customer who ordered the cake was trying to be clear about what they wanted on the cake, but the person who made it took what the customer said too literal. More than likely, they probably just wanted “Happy Birthday” on the cake. Yet, the cake designer took what the customer said too seriously. Also, the balloons on this cake are sad. You wouldn’t know that they were balloons, if it didn’t say “Happy Birthday”.
Buzz Looks a Little Buzzed
Buzz looks a little drunk here. The person whoever made this cake had the right idea in mind, but they missed the mark. There are a few things that are completely off including the teeth, the eyebrows, and the eyes. The Buzz cake looks quite creepy. However, at least the person who made this cake gave it a good effort.
How They Really Feel
The customer who ordered this cake obviously got their real feelings out about Matt when they ordered this cake. However, the person who made the cake ended up exposing the customers real feelings on the cake. The customer obviously has a sense of humor; otherwise they wouldn’t have said “Happy Birthday Dick”. Hopefully, Matt finds this cake funny too.
Adam with Blue Flowers
This cake was close to being perfect… Very close. This is another example of a cake designer who took what the customer said too literal. The customer actually wanted the flowers to be made with blue icing. At least the cake decorator listened and made the flowers blue. That’s a plus. Maybe Adam will appreciate the humor of this mishap.
Mark with a Sea
We actually find this cake to be funny. There’s a lot going wrong with this cake. For starters, they spelled “Birthday” wrong. They misspelled the letter “C”. The name was also supposed to be spelled “Marc”. At least the picture of the carrots looks good. Maybe Marc will get a kick out of this cake, because it is hilarious..
You Done It
We don’t understand if the cake decorator can’t spell or speak proper English, or if the customer misspoke. If the customer misspoke, then why didn’t the cake designer fix it? We also don’t understand why the words are positioned like that. The wording is off centered and slanted. This cake is quite sad.
Justin Bieber??…
Where do we even start… This cake is horrifying. For starters, this cake is actually made of out meat and it’s molded after Justin Bieber. They even added Justin’s signature long hair (from his younger days). Obviously, the person receiving the meat cake is a huge fan of Justin Bieber, so maybe they will like it? Or they will just find it as creepy as we do. Either way, we just hope no one ever makes another Bieber meat cake again.
Mary Had A Little…Lamb?
The lamb cake at the top is sweet and adorable. The cake on the bottom is strange. At least they tried? All we can say is that we’ve never seen a pink lamb. The cake on the bottom looks scared. We are just hoping that the cake tasted better than it looks.
Year 20010
The person that made this cake is obviously rushing time. The cookie cake was meant to ring in the year 2010. Instead, they are celebrating the future a little too soon, as the cookie cake says that they are celebrating the year 20010. We don’t understand why the person who made the cake didn’t fix it right away. That seems like a decently easy fix. At least it still looks delicious!
Spell Check is your Friend
As special as weddings are, they can also be stressful. It seems like when you’re trying to plan everything, there’s usually at least one thing to go wrong. We can’t imagine how frustrated the bride was when she received this cake for her wedding. This is a perfect example as to why you should always spellcheck everything and double check your work. We feel like they could have easily turned the “e” into a “d”. But we just hope that the wedding still went smoothly. When it comes to weddings, turn to a professional.
The Football Fail
There is a lot going on with this cake, and there’s a lot wrong with it. This cake is definitely a fail. We can tell that the intention for the hand was that it should have been a foam finger. Instead, there are six fingers on the hand and it looks like it has the middle finger up. Maybe the person who made the cake was not a 49ers fan? The word “49ers” is also spelled backwards. We are almost positive that the customer was probably not happy about this cake.
Another Cake Decorator who is too Literal
Here is another cake decorator who took what the customer said too literal. The customer was obviously very clear about what they wanted. We don’t understand why the person who made this cake actually thought that they wanted the word “say” on the cake The handwriting is also very unprofessional. Maybe the cake decorator is new? Regardless, maybe they can scrape off the word “say”.
At Least they are Honest
This cake is brutally honest. The message is kind of mean. There aren’t any spelling errors, but you can definitely tell that this cake is homemade. The person who made this cake definitely doesn’t hold anything bad. They don’t hate you, but they also don’t like you. Maybe this cake was all in fun? We hope so..
Right to the Point
Obviously, the customer was getting irritated with the cake decorator. The cake decorator put what the customer said on the cake. Maybe this was the cake decorator’s way of revenge? If the customer got this rude with the cake decorator, then the customer got what they deserved. Hopefully, the customer could laugh about this, and they still enjoyed the delicious cookie cake.
A Dark Turn
More than likely, this cake was ordered for a baby shower… but was it also an almost funeral? The person who ordered this cake could have just left it at “Preparing for A New Life” and had the whole cake pink with the picture of the 3D ultrasound. Unfortunately, this cake was taken a step further. When you’re expecting, death is the last thing you want to think about. They took a very dark turn with this cake.
This is what Nightmares are Made of
This cake was meant for an Easter party; however, the sheep is terrifying to look at. Sheep are the mascot for dreams. Yet, this is what nightmares are made of They meant well with the design, but the face is still really creepy. Maybe next time they should focus on making the face a little softer?
Leave Minion Cakes to the Pros
Minions are well-known from the Despicable Me franchise. Who doesn’t love those yellow little guys? We can assume that the person who made this cake was not a professional. They meant well with the design; however, a design like this should be left to the professionals. There’s a lot wrong with this cake, even though, you can tell that it was meant to be a Minion. Sometimes, you should just spend a little extra money to have a pro make the cake.
Halloween Cakes are a Thing?
This cake is hilarious! The customer was clear about what they wanted on the cake, but we don’t think they got exactly what they were wanting. The decorator wrote the directions out on the cake word for word… Well, kind of. Instead of “goats” we’re pretty sure that the customer wanted “ghosts”.
The decorator put goats on the cake and they also put also put one of those aliens from Toy Story on there to stand in as a goblin. At least this cake is quite entertaining.
Baby Shower Cake…
Where do we even start with this cake… This cake is supposed to be for a baby shower, which normally means that the cake should be blue or pink. They may not have known the sex of the baby, so they went with rainbow. That’s okay. However, the message on the cake is strange. Adults know how babies are made. The explanation doesn’t need to be spelled out on a cake, especially at a baby shower.
Not Very Deadicated
We think that cake shops should make the cake decorator spell check their work before they put it on the cake. They should also recheck their work before they give it to the customer. They completely misspelled the word “dedication”. There is no ‘dead’ in “dedication”. Hopefully the recipient of the cake got a good laugh out of it.
Happy Birthday on Both
It’s definitely obvious what happened here. When the customer made both cupcake orders they told the decorator to have ‘Happy Birthday’ on both. Apparently, the decorator got confused and decided to write ‘Happy Birthday On Both’ on each of the cakes.
We have to wonder, if the employee ever thought that the instructions seemed off. If they questioned the order, you’d think that they would double check the order with the customer. Obviously, the decorator just went with their instincts.
No Spidey Senses
How can the cake on the left, even be compared to the cake on the right? We understand that a Spider-Man cake would be hard to make, especially for amateur bakers. However, this cake is just sad because they didn’t put any effort into it at all.
The person who decorated this cake gave up. They started to outline the arms and eyes, but then they just stopped. They could have at least added some blue to the design.
Not Valid Victorian
We’re not going to lie; we actually find this one to be hilarious. The person who made this cake was definitely not valedictorian. The cake was supposed to say “valedictorian”, but it said “Valid Victorian”. This is another perfect example as to why you should always spellcheck. We just wonder if the cake decorator knew that this spelling was odd, or if they just didn’t care.
Draw Unicorn Here
First things first, we have to wonder why someone would want to put a picture of a unicorn on a cake for a 35-year-old person. Maybe it was a joke?
Then, there’s the fact that the cake decorator couldn’t follow directions. The customer obviously wanted the cake decorator to draw a picture of a unicorn. Instead, they wrote “can you draw a unicorn?” Some people just can’t follow directions.
Harsh Point of View
This cake is just harsh. Obviously, we can’t blame the cake decorator on this one. The person at fault is the person who ordered this cake. The message is loud and clear: ‘Congrats Eric at being a failure at Life’ (followed by a frown).
Whatever this person did apparently disappointed the person who purchased the cake. Regardless, of what Eric did, we still feel sorry for him because this cake is a little too much.
Too much Information about Tom
We don’t really understand why the customer wanted big purple balls on the cake. There aren’t many sports that use purple balls. Regardless, the person who made this cake didn’t understand the directions very well. Why would the cake decorator ever think that the customer wanted this on the cake? We just hope that they can scrape off the “big purple balls” on the cake. If they can salvage the cake in anyway, that would be a plus.
Lawn Mower Vs. Hand
Whoever purchased this cake has an odd sense of humor… Why would you celebrate a partial amputation with a cake? Apparently, the recipient of the cake had a run-in with their lawnmower. This poor person ended up losing part of their finger, due to a lawnmower. Hopefully the recipient of the cake found this to be funny.
Realistic Litter Box Cake
We would probably think that this was a real litter box, if it weren’t for the Reddi-whip in the background. This cake is quite disturbing… The litter and the cat poop look disturbingly real. We have to admit, this cake is creative. But, we wonder what Matt thought about this odd cake.
Here We Go Again
Here we go again… Another cake decorator who misunderstood what the customer wanted. Once again, something got lost in translation. The decorator wrote: ‘Best Wishes Suzanne Under Neat That We Will Miss You.’
The word ‘underneath’ is one word, not two, and has an H at the end. Also, the cake was supposed to say “Best wishes Suzanne, we will miss you.” We don’t understand why the decorator put the phrase ‘underneath that’ written on the cake. It makes no sense at all.
31rd?…
The cake reads, ‘Happy 31rd Birthday Jessica’ instead of ‘Happy 31st Birthday Jessica.’ We are hoping that this was a joke. This is truly strange. It’s actually very hard to say ’31rd’ out loud. We don’t understand why they didn’t double check the message?
A Cake with Low-Self Esteem
Obviously, this cake is homemade. However, we disagree with the message: “Eat me. I’m Ugly.” We actually don’t think it’s an ugly cake. Yes, it’s pretty plain, but it’s not ugly. Maybe the person who made this cake wasn’t happy with how it turned out? Or they’ve made better cakes in the past? Regardless the reason, it doesn’t really matter what it looks like as long as it tastes good.
No Degree for You
There’s a lot wrong with this cake. It looks like the designer made the cake for themselves. The message reads: “My Graduaccion God Bless You.” If you’re graduating from school, you should know how to spell the word “graduation.” We realized that there is a space in the word “God.” It almost looks like they originally put two “Os” in that space and then they tried to cover it up. So, they even misspelled the word “God”.
The Head Scratcher
This cake is a head scratcher. We don’t understand what this was supposed to mean. The message on the cake reads: ‘Fill With 18 Dots/ Periods Fallowing.’ Obviously, the cake decorator didn’t know what they were doing at all. We also can’t figure out what the customer wanted. Normally, we can tell right away what the customer originally wanted. However, we can’t figure this one out. This one is confusing…
The Windy City
Chicago is referred to as the Windy City, and most people know that. The person who decorated this cake obviously didn’t know this. The message on the cake reads: ‘Best of Luck in Windy City Have Windy City Italicized Like It’s Blowing In The Wind’. If only the decorator understood the instructions…
Monster or Baby?
What kind of baby is that supposed to be? Because, it looks like a monster baby wearing a diaper. Besides the baby, the rest of the cake actually looks really good We wonder what the recipient of the cake thought of the monster baby. We just hope they were able to just laugh at it.
Super Bowel
There really isn’t a whole lot of good going on with this Super Bowl cake. The cake was supposed to read “Super Bowl” not “Super Bowel.” Also, the colors on the cake do not look appetizing. The decorator also didn’t put a lot of effort into making the football in the corner. This cake just doesn’t look good.
Awesome Birthday Cake
We actually love this cake! It’s awesome. First of all, we love that Sarah likes playing with both traditional boy toys and traditional girl toys. We love that Darth Vader is riding on My Little Pony. The stereotypical designs are pink cakes with girl toys. We think it’s awesome that Sarah is not that kind of girl, and we like that her parents listened to her and allowed her to have the cake she wanted.
Till Death do us Part
This is quite disturbing. They took the saying “Till death do us part” a little too seriously. They definitely have a strange sense of humor! The faces are extremely realistic, and that’s what makes it disturbing. There’s blood gushing from their faces. Even if this cake tasted good, it would still be a little strange to eat a piece of someone’s face…
Is that you, Cookie Monster?
Cookie Monster is a decently easy character to create. He is a big blue monster with googly eyes. His mouth is also usually stuffed with as many cookies as possible. Cookie monster is a distinctive color. The color is off, his eyes are black not brown, and the frosting needs a little help. This cake is definitely homemade.
Odd Position
We can’t tell if this cake was homemade or professionally done. It’s obviously for a UFC fight. However, the position of the fighters is a little strange… The octagon is made out of Twix, the “UFC” writing was done in a messy way, and the fighters are in a weird position. We’re almost positive that’s not a technique seen in the UFC.
Princess Fail
Mom blogger Jo Lynne Shane just wanted to make a princess birthday cake for her daughter. She tried to follow a Pinterest cake of Ariel from The Little Mermaid. She bought the same ingredients, but for some reason it still didn’t turnout. She tried to replicate the other cake, but it still didn’t work out. The doll looks like she is swimming in a pool of icing. At least, her daughter loved it.
The Most Depressing Cat
This cake is quite sad. There’s some strange ingredients in this cake including; saltine crackers for ears, candy canes for whiskers, unidentified cookies for eyes and what could even be a cherry tomato for a nose. We believe that a kid made this cake. At least, we’re hoping that a kid made this cake; otherwise, this person doesn’t have any business making cakes.
Rainbow Fail
There was a time when rainbow everything was the trend. Who could forget Starbuck’s Unicorn drink, rainbow grilled cheese, or rainbow bagels. The person would made this cake really went all out on the rainbow theme. However, it looks like it used to be one color, but it rotted into a rainbow.
Another Till Death Do us Part
This wedding cake is not only gross, but it’s also creepy. There are fingers, rats, eyeballs, and blood icing on this cake. Who would want this for a wedding cake? Obviously the people who ordered this cake have a sick sense of humor. One can hope that this cake at least tasted good.
Great Cake, Bad Writing
To be honest, the design of the cake is beautiful. The little shoes were done perfectly, the size and length of the cake is good, and the icing was put on smoothly. However, the writing on the cake is horrible. The writing is slanted, the person has bad handwriting, and the first word is misspelled. It’s almost like the person who decorated the cake is not the same person who wrote on the cake.
Not So Super Nintendo
This cake was almost a win… Almost.. The baker made the perfect gray color frosting to match the color of the Super Nintendo game console and controllers, yet the decorating was off. There’s candy to represent the buttons on the controller. We don’t understand what happened here. It’s almost like they wanted the whole cake to be the controller, but then they got lost. They were close…
Guilt Tripping
We’re pretty sure that a coworker is leaving the company, and someone wanted to guilt trip them into staying. Obviously, the person who was in control of ordering the cake was not happy that their coworker was leaving. Hopefully, the coworker found this cake to be comical, and they all had a good laugh over it.
It’s a Gril!
Who doesn’t love going to a Gender reveal party? They are fun and exciting. This cake is just sad. It’s another example as to why the cake decorator should always double check their work. This could have been easily avoided. Obviously this isn’t a great way to reveal to the new parents that they are having a “Gril!” Hopefully, the couple can laugh about this.
Happy Birthday in French
After all of these examples of bakers who misunderstood what they were supposed to put on the cake, you would think that this would be a learning lesson for other bakers. At this point, bakers should know to double check what the customer was wanting. The cake was supposed to say, “Happy Birthday” in French. Maybe the baker didn’t know French? Regardless, they should have looked it up.
Hello Kitty?… Is that you?
If it weren’t for the famous pink bow, we would’ve had no idea that this was supposed to be Hello Kitty. At first glance, we thought this was a Chicken Little cake. It looks like the person who made this cake had the right idea. They made the correct shape of Hello Kitty’s head, but the face needed some work.
